Maintenance of a bicycle is generally a service procedure or a group
of service procedures and checks that insure the many moving parts
and systems of the bicycle are in optimum working condition. Timely
maintenance of a bicycle helps provide piece of mind, reliability
and maximizes the enjoyment and satisfaction of cycling. Performing
proper maintenance when needed is a lot more desirable than waiting
for something to break; in most cases the bicycle never works properly
and the cycling experience is dismal.

Because of the
inherent dirty conditions of mountain biking, the drive train is bombarded
with dirt, grit, mud and water in its various forms. Merely re-oiling
the chain can flush these contaminants into the rollers and shorten
its life. It should be cleaned first. If your bike is performing well
except for the shifting problems described above and/or the chain,
derailleur, freewheel/cassette and chain rings have dirt, or oil/grease
build up, then have the Drive train Clean performed.

The Tune Up is
the most common maintenance package offered. It should be performed
on an annual basis. This is a complete adjustment procedure. Lubrication
is done only on the outside (chain and all pivot points), not to the
bearing systems. If you are experiencing any of the following problems
on your bike, consider either our Standard or Deluxe tune up.

| • Squealing or poor brake
performance Wobbly (out of true) wheels |
| • Loose or tight bearing
systems (hubs, bottom brackets, headset) |
| • Poor shifting (chain
not engaging in all the gears, shifting on it's own etc.) |
